Scientific Advisory Board (SAB)

EASO’s SAB was established in 2009 in order to critically review key topics in European obesity research, via ‘Think Tank’ consultations. As an outcome of these consultations, the SAB develops and disseminates position statements, research recommendations and editorials.

The SAB promotes regional and early career talent by contributing to EASO Early Career initiatives (ECN awards, webinars and teaching courses). The SAB supports EASO’s role as dissemination partner in EU funded research projects by acting as a network of scientific experts for EU project advisory boards and other relevant European consultations

To ensure that it is continuously relevant and effective, the SAB engages and collaborates with EASO Task Forces, Working Groups and Member Associations, and with relevant external stakeholders including European ‘Sister Societies’, the WHO Regional Office for Europe and where relevant with industry.
