EASO COMs Summit 2024

The 2024 EASO COMs Summit will take place 27-28th November 2024, in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Participation in the COMs Summit is open to team members working within accredited adult, paediatric, and affiliated EASO COMs across Europe and globally. This important event offers clinical colleagues the opportunity to engage with the latest research in obesity management and develop practical skills to enhance high quality, evidence based patient care.
COMs Summit delegates will learn from experts and key opinion leaders across the field of obesity — and related conditions — and participants will include nutritionists, surgeons and clinical colleagues working in general practice.
The Summit will follow a scientific programme inclusive of presentations from clinicians and researchers, clinical case discussions, and networking opportunities. This year, the Sociedad Española para el Estudio de la Obesidad (SEEDO) 2024 Meeting will be held straight after the Summit. Interested colleagues are encouraged to participate in both events.
Delegates of the COMs Summit will learn about:
- The latest advancements in obesity management with global and interdisciplinary perspectives
- Analysis and discussion of adult and paediatric clinical case studies in obesity management
- The importance of patient-clinician collaboration in obesity management and patient perspectives on receiving care
- Obesity as a complex disease and the importance of disease recognition in obesity management
- Targeted strategies for managing specific obesity-related conditions
- Pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions for obesity

Meeting Information – Registration, Accommodation and Venue
Registration – Complimentary, with up to two places allocated to each COMs Centre. However, there are only 100 spots available at the Summit, and each registration will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. You must be a team member of an EASO accredited COMs to attend. Registration will close Thursday 31st October.
Registration will include all lecture sessions, coffee breaks, dinner on the first evening and lunch on the 2nd day.
Accommodation – Rooms have been reserved at the Gran Hotel Los Abetos. EASO will offer two nights complimentary accommodation to one person from each COMs Centre on the 27th and 28th November.
Venue – The Summit will take place at the Palacio de Congresos Galicia, which is just a 15 minute walk from the Gran Hotel Los Abetos. Please see the Draft Programme for the start and finish times.
