The EASO 5-MIN CPD is an e-learning programme based around compelling, evidence-based micro-learning modules. Each module addresses a very specific topic or research question, and provides pragmatic and actionable learning. Content is developed and delivered by international Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and leading organisations working in academia, clinical intervention, policy, public health and research.
5-Min CPD modules go beyond information, they improve knowledge, self-efficacy and daily practice. The pilot programme comprises case studies, patient perspectives, hands-on technique demonstrations, along with short pre-and post-tests.
The 5-MIN CPD initiative is a key component of the EASO Education Vision, which is to empower healthcare professionals, researchers, policy makers, and the public with the knowledge and skills that ultimately drive change in obesity science, clinical practice, and public policy. The impact of this vision is to:
- Provide high quality education for interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
- Develop a community of practice supporting interdisciplinary obesity care
- Cascade education to primary care and public health practitioners at local levels
