Build capacity, improve competencies and learn to plan multi-stakeholder advocacy actions via practical, participatory training and case studies.

This workshop series draws on research and good practices from across Europe to explore how we can engage with policymakers and other stakeholders to shift the dial on obesity policy.

‘Advocating on Obesity‘ breaks the advocacy process down into key steps, from identifying and prioritising key issues, to implementing an advocacy action plan. How can we better understand our audiences and tailor our messaging to engage them and inspire their support?

Each workshop provides an overview from experts and draws on inspiring examples. Participants will have a chance to work in groups to test advocacy tools for themselves, applying their own experience and skills to reflect collectively on new methods of engagement through the case study lens.

Along with the EASO Advocacy Handbook, this workshop series will equip organisations working on obesity with the tools, resources and skills to develop and implement their own advocacy strategies and better fulfil their policy objectives.

Advocating on Obesity’ has now taken place with three groups of participants. This page will be updated with future opportunities to participate. Contact EASO Policy Lead Jacqueline Bowman-Busato for further information: [email protected]
