EASO Logo

EASO is an action driven association and develops projects in order to meet our charitable objectives.

Our objectives are

  • Raising awareness of obesity as a major health priority in Europe
  • Developing,  promoting and delivering education for the prevention and management of overweight and obesity in Europe
  • Promoting, informing and engaging in European obesity research
  • Disseminating key obesity-related messaging alongside evidence-based guidelines and developments
  • Communicating with relevant internal and external stakeholders, and promoting multidisciplinary collaboration

EASO only develops projects that meet these objectives and that are designed to have an impact on patient, scientific and medical communities of Europe. These ambitious goals are achieved through collaboration with partners that share our strategic vision and promote a multi-stakeholder approach.

EASO only partners with organisations demonstrating a clear commitment to addressing the challenge of obesity in Europe and to helping EASO achieve its charitable objectives.  EASO only accepts funding for specific projects and via unrestricted grants, and is currently engaged in project partnerships with Novo Nordisk, Eli Lilly and Company, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Pfizer. EASO has recently received support from the Novo Nordisk Foundation to award five research grants.
