EASO is pleased to announce that the first set of clinical guidelines for obesity care have been issued by the Icelandic health directorate. This is a landmark moment for obesity activists and clinicians treating patients living with obesity in Iceland.
ECPO President Solveig Sigurdardottir said “ We are very proud that the health directorate has issued these adult guidelines. This important first step is the result of collaboration between the clinical care community, with leadership from Heilsuborg director Dr Erla Gerdur Sveinsdôttir, Dr Hildur Thors, and nurse Helga Sævarsdóttir and those of us working in patient advocacy including EASO.”
