We are delighted to report that the 4th Congress of the Slovak Obesity Association and the 20th annual Slovak Obesity Days took place October 20-22 2022. Over 1,000 international delegates attended the half-day webinars held during the congress.
The Congress included sessions focused on the issue of overweight/obesity management in the Central European region. Presentations by Davor Stimac (Croatia), Magdalena Olszanecka-Glinianowicz (Poland), Martin Haluzik (Czech Republic), Bianca Itariu (Austria), Eszter Halmy (Hungary) and Lubomira Fabryova (Slovakia) were invited to participate in this congress session.
EASO trustee, Lubomira Fabryova, Vice President of the EASO Central Region, said “It was very interesting to learn how care for individuals living with obesity varies across countries, and I believe that we will be able to develop an even more detailed picture once I share questionnaires with other presidents within the region, which may be appropriate to share widely”.
