This event features Dr Bart Van der Schueren, Chairman of the Belgian Association for the Study of Obesity, who will be discussing how to translate obesity research into effective policy and practice. During the 1-hour webinar, you will have the opportunity to ask Dr Van der Schueren questions and engage in further discussion on this important topic. EASO ECN board members will host the event and be ready to answer any questions you may have about the ECN.
As an associate Professor in the Department of Endocrinology at the University Hospital of Leuven in Belgium, Dr Bart Van der Schueren has extensive experience in the field of obesity research. In 2011, he founded the obesity clinic at the same hospital, where he continues to work today. In addition to his academic role, Dr Van der Schueren is also highly knowledgeable in regulatory affairs, having represented the Belgian Federal Agency for Medicines and Health Products (FAMHP) at the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
