The Belgian Association for the Study of Obesity (BASO) is part of EASO and was founded in 1988. Its purpose is to promote research in the field of obesity. It also aims to stimulate and facilitate contacts between individuals and organizations, and to encourage any initiative aimed at stopping the epidemic of obesity.
