The 2021 EASO Public Health Masterclass will take place online, and will be delivered by the EASO Public Health Task Force via three sessions: on 11, 12 and 13 October from 11.00 to 13.30 CET. (Application deadline 15th September).

Learning Objectives

  • Recognise the complexity of obesity and the concept of systems mapping.
  • Appreciate and understand different policy environments.
  • Attain knowledge and skills to develop and implement public health strategies that recognise the needs of individuals and communities affected by obesity.
  • Attain knowledge and skills to develop and implement evidence-based and person-centred obesity prevention interventions.

Teaching will be delivered by EASO affiliated KOLs via lectures and discussion sessions.  All sessions will have protected Q&A time.

Who should apply?

Up to 40 places are available for this online training course. Applications are invited from European colleagues working in public health, with an interest in obesity. Acceptance will be restricted to applicants who:

  • Hold (or are close to completing) a Masters/PhD degree in a relevant topic and/or
  • Have 3-5 years of relevant practical experience

Priority will be given to applicants who are members of EASO affiliated National Associations.

Successful applicants will be expected to attend all sessions.

EASO expects to receive a high number of applications, it is therefore important that you give as much information as possible in your submission. There is no registration fee to participate, but this is a competitive application process and only a limited number of candidates will be accepted.
