EASO is pleased to share an invitation from colleagues at United European Gastroenterology (UEG) to a multi-stakeholder event at the European Parliament titled “Connecting the dots: Obesity, digestive diseases and cancers”. Hosted by MEP Romana Jerković, this event will focus on the critical link between digestive health and obesity, a growing public health challenge affecting millions across Europe.
Experts from UEG and EASO, including EASO president Volkan Yumuk, will present compelling evidence connecting obesity with a range of digestive diseases and cancers, affecting both children and adults. A high-level panel featuring MEPs and patient advocates will explore how public health policy can better address these interconnected challenges.
This event will also mark the official relaunch of the MEP Digestive Health Group, reinforcing UEG’s commitment to advancing digestive health across Europe.
Due to limited capacity, please register via this form before May 26.
The preliminary programme can be viewed on Eventbrite.
