EASO Early Career Network: New Board Announced

EASO Early Career Network: New Board Announced

EASO welcomes board members to the rebranded and revitalised network for early career professionals. The Early Career Network (ECN) has been expanded to offer affiliation to undergraduates and recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in an obesity related field.

We encourage public health students and practitioners as well as those involved in public policy whether at local, national, or regional to consider joining the network. We are reaching out to sister societies in fields related to obesity and related disease areas to consider becoming involved in the ECN.

The new Board spans a variety of professional interests, national representation and expertise, from basic science, nutrition and medical practice, childhood obesity, and public health. Please join us in welcoming returning director Emanuel Canfora (Netherlands) and new directors Niamh Arthurs (Ireland), Bedia Fulya Calikoglu (Turkey), Cilius Esmann Fonvig (Denmark), Lisa Heggie (UK), Britt Wang Jensen (Denmark), and Mario Silva (Portugal). You will hear from the board regularly here; we will keep you updated on training and educational opportunities, networking and mentorship, and early career challenges during the pandemic. We will announce the dates and curricula for our Winter School soon.

Join the network, follow us on Twitter @EASOobesityECN and Facebook EASOobesity Early Career Network.
