The EASO Early Career Network (ECN) invites all ECN members to attend the first eLearning Hub online event of 2024, scheduled for Tuesday 23rd January from 4-5pm GMT / 5-6pm CET.
Are you an early career professional in obesity interested in a career outside of traditional academia? Please join the EASO ECN at this upcoming eLearning Hub event focussed on different career pathways in the field of obesity. Senior expert speakers who work in public health, non-profit organisations and the pharmaceutical industry will discuss the different roles they have had throughout their careers in obesity.
During this one-hour session, members of the ECN will:
- Gain insight into the career path of obesity experts, including relevant roles in organisations dedicated to obesity awareness, education, public health, and community engagement
- Understand the transferable skills valued in non-academic roles and how to align with needs of organisations outside of universities
- Receive advice on navigating personal career path including networking, building a relevant skill set, and seeking mentorship
The expert panel for this webinar includes Professor Harry Rutter (Professor in Global Public Health and expert advisor for public health organisations in the UK) and Dr Alessandra Lafranconi (Global Medical Advisor, Boehringer Ingelheim, Germany).
The EASO ECN Board will host this event and answer questions about the ECN. If you are an early career student or professional interested in obesity, but are not already an ECN member, you are encouraged to sign up here before registering for this session.
