Colleagues are invited to register for a live webinar hosted by the Department of Pediatrics, Center for Pediatric Obesity Medicine at the University of Minnesota. Advanced Therapies for Pediatric Obesity is a highly regarded educational course addressing the topic pediatric obesity.
The course takes place Wednesday, February 21, 2024, 8:00 AM – Friday, February 23, 2024, 12:00 PM.
This 3.5-day virtual course, led by experts, focuses on understanding obesity as a disease and offers detailed management strategies. A key emphasis is on implementing the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Clinical Practice Guideline through the use of anti-obesity medications for children and adolescents. Participants will engage in case-based sessions and breakout rooms to learn about these newly FDA-approved medications. The course will also cover their application in primary care settings and discuss related topics like eating disorders in obesity treatment and metabolic and bariatric surgery.
