Securing and Managing Research Grants: EASO – Novo Nordisk Foundation Award New Investigator Experiences

Are you an early career researcher interested in securing and managing your own research grants? Join the next EASO Early Career Network (ECN) eLearning Hub event, “Securing and Managing Research Grants: EASO – Novo Nordisk Foundation Award New Investigator Experiences”.

The EASO – Novo Nordisk Foundation New Investigator Awards are offered annually in four key areas: Basic Science, Clinical Research, Childhood Obesity and Public Health. Each Award includes a 300,000 DKK research grant (approximately €40,200) to fund new research in obesity.

Join the ECN online to hear from 2023 and 2024 EASO – Novo Nordisk Foundation New Investigator Award winners as they share their experiences on managing and using research grants. From application to project execution, these speakers will provide firsthand insights, practical tips, and strategies on effectively handling their own funded research.

  • Dr Cintia Folgueria Cobos (Basic Science, 2023): Postdoctoral Researcher at the Spanish National Center for Cardiovascular Research Carlos III (CNIC), Spain
  • Dr Sini Heinonen (Clinical Research, 2023): MD and Postdoctoral Fellow at Helsinki University Hospital (HUS), Finland
  • Andrew Agbaje (Childhood Obesity, 2024): Associate Professor of Clinical Epidemiology and Child Health, and Principal Investigator of “urFIT-child” research group, University of Eastern Finland, Finland, and University of Exeter, UK
