The first session begins with the patient-centered perspective, by sharing an understanding of obesity by those directly affected by it. Dr Manco will present essential knowledge that internists need to effectively manage obesity in their practice. The session continues with Dr Valerie Tikhonoff exploring evidence-based nutritional strategies for both weight loss and maintenance, followed by Dr Francesca Battista’s presentation on implementing physical activity tools in obesity management.
The second session opens with an exploration of sarcopenic obesity, examining this challenging condition from new perspectives. Prof. Sbraccia presents current pharmacotherapy options for obesity management, followed by Dr. Dror Dicker who will provide practical guidance on incorporating new research findings into clinical practice.
This comprehensive approach covers the full spectrum of obesity management, from patient perspectives to practical clinical implementation, providing internists with tools they need to better serve their patients with obesity.
