Applications are now open for the 2026 EASO Masterclass and EASO Early Career Network (ECN) Masterclass, taking place 7–9 December 2026 in Zagreb, Croatia.
These highly interactive educational programmes bring together colleagues from across Europe for expert-led learning, discussion and collaboration across obesity research, prevention and management.
EASO Masterclass
The EASO Masterclass: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Obesity Prevention and Management is designed for healthcare professionals, primary care practitioners, researchers and policymakers working in obesity. The programme combines lectures, workshops and group discussions and addresses topics ranging from the biology and diagnosis of obesity to person-centred management, public health, weight stigma and patient perspectives.
Places are limited and are allocated through a competitive application process. Applicants should review the eligibility criteria carefully and provide sufficient detail about their experience and how participation in the Masterclass will contribute to their work.

EASO Early Career Network Masterclass
The 2026 EASO ECN Masterclass is open to eligible early career researchers and healthcare practitioners. This year’s programme focuses on “Hot Topics in Obesity”, with interactive sessions exploring current issues across research, obesity management and public health.
The ECN Masterclass offers 40 places, with more than 100 applications typically received. Applicants must meet the published eligibility criteria and must be members of the EASO Early Career Network to apply. Participants will also have opportunities to present and discuss their own work through poster sessions.

Apply by 16 October
For both Masterclasses, there is no registration fee, and EASO will provide two nights’ hotel accommodation and meals for successful applicants. Participants are responsible for their own travel costs.
Applications close at 18:00 CET on Friday 16 October 2026. Late applications will not be considered.
We encourage eligible members of the EASO community to review the application criteria and apply early. Successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified by email no later than 26 October 2026.
