Please join us for the first EASO COMs webinar of 2024, titled “Hormonal & Psychological Management of Stress in Obesity Treatment” to be held on Tuesday 30th January 2024 (11:30am-12:30pm GMT / 12:30-1:30pm CET)
This webinar will provide members of the EASO COMs network with knowledge on the association between stress and obesity, and advice on how to support patients to manage stress as part of a comprehensive obesity management plan. First, attendees will learn about the role of cortisol in stress and its link to obesity, using hair tests for diagnosis and how understanding of glucocorticoids supports obesity management. Next, audience members will gain insights into stress from a psychological perspective and explore behavioral and cognitive strategies that can be used to address stress experienced by patients with obesity.
Professor Andreea Ciudin (MD, PhD) – Co-Chair of the EASO Obesity Management Task Force – will chair the session. Attendees of the live event will have the opportunity to ask the speakers questions to help develop their practices within the EASO COMs network.
