The World Obesity Federation will host the Global Obesity Forum in Madrid in October 2026, bringing together global partners from across the obesity community. The Forum will take place alongside a high-level Global Obesity Summit convened by the Government of Spain, WHO and UNICEF, which will review progress under the WHO Acceleration Plan to Stop Obesity and its framework for action through 2030. EASO is pleased to support this important work. Strengthening shared accountability and assessing progress towards the 2030 goals are important priorities for the obesity community and essential to advancing effective action on obesity. The Global Obesity Forum will bring together civil society, scientific and professional organisations, youth advocates and people living with obesity, providing an important opportunity to consider progress, implementation and the action still needed.
