Welcome Dr Sohvi Lommi, Postdoctoral Researcher from Finland to the EASO ECN Board!

Dr. Sohvi Lommi works as a postdoctoral researcher in the Public Health programme at the Folkhälsan Research Center in Helsinki, Finland. Her research focuses on conventional and non-conventional determinants of excess weight and weight gain from early adolescence into emerging adulthood, with a particular emphasis on circadian rhythms and central obesity.

She earned her PhD from the University of Helsinki in 2023, where her multidisciplinary doctoral research explored the associations of food consumption, oral health, oral microbiome and excess weight in early adolescence. She holds an MSc in nutrition science from the University of Helsinki and is a member of the board for the Finnish Association for the Study of Obesity.

Sohvi is thrilled to participate in the ECN board and contribute to its mission and looks forward to engaging with like-minded colleagues.
