Initially established in 2013 to help the European scientific and clinical community better understand the patient experience along the care pathway, the European Coalition for People Living with Obesity (EASO ECPO) has emerged as a strong voice for patient interests and now stands to develop an advocacy posture for patient concerns and perspectives across Europe.

EASO ECPO national representatives serve to elevate and promote needs and interests of our European patient community across a broad range of stakeholder communities.  The ECPO include patient representatives from 20 countries and acts as a united European patient voice for people living with obesity.

The leadership council develops patient-led position statements, fosters advocacy, networking between and among patients, scientific groups and HCPs, delivers patient education and up-skilling via workshops through training, develops practical online educational materials, and champions European Obesity Day.
