European Association for the Study of the Liver: MASLD Academy

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new call for applications for an intensive, multi-professional, hands-on training initiative focused on metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD).

The MASLD Guidelines Academy, hosted by the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) is designed for clinicians, nurses and allied health professionals who are committed to strengthening care for people affected by liver disease. Successful applicants will be fully supported to participate in five two-day modules, delivered through an immersive and practical learning format.

Participants will:

  • Develop a clear understanding of MASLD, its pathophysiology and associated risks.
  • Strengthen their ability to screen, diagnose and manage patients effectively.
  • Gain confidence in using the latest diagnostic tests, imaging tools and procedures.
  • Enhance their capacity to work within multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, dietitians and other professionals.
  • Build the skills needed to promote awareness and prevention of liver disease in clinical and community settings.

This Academy represents an important opportunity to build practical expertise, foster collaboration and improve standards of care across disciplines.
