The EASO Early Career Network (ECN) invites members to the next online event in the eLearning Hub series: Polygenic Prediction of Obesity Across the Life Course.

Professor Ruth Loos, Vice Executive Director and Group Leader at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research, University of Copenhagen, will present on how polygenic prediction is advancing our understanding of obesity risk and development across the life course.
In this webinar, Professor Ruth Loos, will:
- Explore the role of polygenic prediction in obesity research and clinical care
- Highlight the latest findings from large-scale studies across diverse populations
- Discuss opportunities and challenges for applying these insights in practice
Delegates are encouraged to review the recent Nature Medicine publication “Polygenic prediction of body mass index and obesity through the life course and across ancestries” by Professor Loos and colleagues in advance, and to bring questions for the discussion.
The session will be chaired by ECN board members, who will also share updates on ongoing ECN initiatives. Students and early career professionals interested in obesity research who are not yet ECN members are warmly invited to join the network before registering.
