Developing and Evaluating Community Obesity Interventions

The EASO Early Career Network (ECN) eLearning Hub series opens 2026 by examining the development and evaluation of community-based interventions aimed at addressing obesity.

Dr Julia Mueller (University of Cambridge) will present on how to design, implement, and evaluate community-based interventions to prevent and address obesity, with a focus on real-world application and evidence generation.

This webinar will:

  • Outline key principles for developing effective community-based obesity interventions
  • Discuss methodological approaches to evaluating impact, equity, and sustainability
  • Share practical insights and examples from applied research and practice
  • Include expert presentation and moderated discussion

The session will be chaired by ECN Board members, who will also share updates on ongoing ECN initiatives. Students and early career professionals interested in obesity research and practice who are not yet ECN members are warmly invited to join the network before registering.
