  • Date: Tuesday, 14th October 2025
  • Time: 4-5pm UK / 5-6pm Paris

Mario Silva, President of the Portuguese Childhood Obesity Association (APCOI), and Raquel Martins, Dietitian and PhD researcher, will share insights on how to design, implement, and evaluate engaging health-promotion interventions for children and communities.

In this webinar, Mario Silva and Raquel Martins will:

  • Explore how community programmes, storytelling, gamification, and digital tools can be integrated into effective health promotion
  • Share practical design principles and development steps, including testing and feedback
  • Present a case study of Heróis da Fruta (Fruit Heroes), highlighting successes, challenges, and transferable lessons

This session will provide early career researchers and professionals with real-world examples of evidence-informed, child-centred approaches to health promotion.

The session will be chaired by ECN board members, who will also share updates on ongoing ECN initiatives. Students and early career professionals interested in obesity research who are not yet ECN members are warmly invited to join the network before registering.
