Niamh Arthurs is a Senior Paediatric Dietitian and Researcher with a deep-rooted passion for helping others; particularly children, adolescents and families.

Niamh has had various roles in public health and clinical nutrition and dietetics in the UK, Ireland and in some developing countries. Niamh Arthurs currently works as part of clinical and research teams in Children’s Health Ireland (National Children’s Hospital) and The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) University of Medicine and Health Sciences. She serves voluntarily as a Board Director for the EASO Early Career Network and as Communications Lead for the Association for the Study of Obesity on the Island of Ireland (ASOI).

Niamh is keen to contribute to developing understanding, education and training, supporting informative conversations and conducting research in this area. She hopes and believes that this will enable improvements in media, healthcare and service development for young people, their families and other individuals affected by obesity, weight bias and body size or obesity stigma. This will help make the world and our societies a more compassionate, understanding and inclusive place for us all.
