PCDE Announces that nominations are open for the 2026 Rising Star Award

In collaboration with the European General Practice Research Network (EGPRN), Primary Care Diabetes Europe (PCDE) has announced that the 2026 Call for Nominations for the PCDE Rising Star Award is open.

The award recognises emerging professionals and researchers who are making significant contributions to the fields of primary care diabetes, obesity, and cardiometabolic health.

EASO encourages eligible candidates and nominators to learn more about this opportunity and submit an application.

Applications must be submitted by 29 June 2026.

Primary Care Diabetes Europe (PCDE) is calling for nominations for the PCDE Rising Star Award, recognising early-career contributions to primary care for diabetes and related areas including obesity and cardiometabolic medicine.

Eligible candidates should:

  • Be aged 45 or under
  • Have at least 5 years’ experience in primary care-oriented clinical research and/or clinical work
  • Have completed, or be due to complete within one year, a PhD or similar dissertation
  • Have at least two peer-reviewed publications

The winner will be invited to speak at the 18th International PCDE Conference in Istanbul.

Candidates should be nominated by a senior academic or organisation, with nominations sent to secretary@pcdeurope.org
