What is the long-term continued impact of COVID-19 on provision of weight management and bariatric surgery services in the UK?

A UCL study is exploring the continued long-term impact of COVID-19 on service provision and changes in service delivery of weight management and bariatric surgery services in the UK. This survey is related to what is happening in services today compared to the end of the first national lockdown in July 2020

The research is led by Dr Adrian Brown of UCL and Dr Stuart Flint at University of Leeds, working alongside colleagues at the University College London, University of Wales Trinity Saint David & Leeds Teaching Trust. This information will improve understanding how different weight management and bariatric surgery services across the UK have coped and adapted their service provision. This project has been approved by the Research Ethics committee of the University College London – UCL REC registration number 16191.004 and HSC-PBPP Ref: 2021-0215 The survey, available below, will take around 20 minutes to complete. All responses will remain anonymous.

Researchers encourage clinicians to flag the survey to anyone who may be interested.
