ASCEND IN BARCELONA: TRAINING OPPORTUNITY 🇪🇸

3 – 7 October 2022

Apply to join an upcoming training in obesity management with the team from the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona.

The ASCEND Global Obesity Training Centre Programme educates health-care professionals in Spain who wish to develop the knowledge and skills required to establish and operate a specialist multidisciplinary obesity treatment centre. Team members are encouraged to apply together. The training will be held in Spanish.

NORDIC OBESITY MEETING IN COPENHAGEN 🇩🇰

17-19 NOVEMBER 2022

EASO is delighted to endorse and support the 2022 Nordic Obesity Meeting, hosted by the Danish Association for the Study on Obesity (DSAF). The conference brings together medical doctors, dieticians and other health care professionals alongside obesity researchers across focus areas.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for early career investigators to present their research findings.

TIMESPAN

EASO is pleased to support this new 5 year EU funded H2020 initiative. TIMESPAN, led by scientific coordinator Professor Henrik Larsson (Örebro University), includes 17 partners from across academia, industry, and patient advocacy communities, and aims to foster improvement in clinical management of adults living with with ADHD and co-occurring cardiometabolic disease, including obesity.

SWEET PROJECT

SWEET, a European Commission Horizon 2020 funded project, is supported by a consortium of 29 pan-European research, consumer and industry partners, who are in the process of reviewing and developing evidence on long term benefits and potential risks involved in switching over to sweeteners and sweetness enhancers (S&SEs) in the context of public health and safety, obesity, and sustainability.
