Application is by nomination, and Excellence Prize winners may not reapply.<\/p>\n<p>We are also pleased to open applications for the EASO-Novo Nordisk Foundation <strong>New Investigator Awards in Basic Science, Clinical Research, Childhood Obesity and Public Health<\/strong> (4 separate awards). Each Award is accompanied by a DKK 300.000 research grant.<\/p>\n<p>We urge eligible early career scientists interested in undertaking innovative new research to consider applying for a New Investigator award.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Each winner will be supported to attend and speak at a special award session at the 2027 EASO European Congress on Obesity (ECO) in Munich, which takes place 18-21 May.<\/li>\n<li>Award winners will be invited to return to the ECO to discuss research undertaken via the award grant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Review Committee will grant the awards based on an application process and the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellence and clear commitment to the chosen area of obesity research.\u202fIn addition,<\/li>\n<li>Les b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaires auront obtenu leur doctorat au cours des cinq derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es ou leur doctorat en m\u00e9decine au cours des huit derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es \u00e0 compter de la date limite de d\u00e9p\u00f4t des candidatures.<\/li>\n<li>Recipients must work in a university, hospital, or another not-for-profit research institution in Europe throughout the 1-year award period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applicants may only apply for one Award.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The deadline for receipt of applications is Monday 14 December (23.59 GMT) 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Obesity Prize for Excellence and New Investigator Awards represent a collaboration between the European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO) and the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF).
