En plus d'\u00eatre une maladie chronique \u00e0 part enti\u00e8re, n\u00e9cessitant une prise en charge et des soins personnalis\u00e9s et continus, l'ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 est \u00e9galement \u00e0 l'origine de nombreuses complications, allant d'effets m\u00e9caniques, tels que les maladies articulaires et l'apn\u00e9e du sommeil, \u00e0 des troubles m\u00e9taboliques et inflammatoires, notamment le diab\u00e8te de type 2 et les maladies cardiovasculaires.<\/p>\n<p>Une prise en charge efficace de l'ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 doit aller au-del\u00e0 de la simple perte de poids ; une approche holistique comprend la prise en charge des complications, le soutien du bien-\u00eatre mental, l'am\u00e9lioration des fonctions physiques et l'am\u00e9lioration de la qualit\u00e9 de vie. Les strat\u00e9gies fondamentales comprennent la modification du comportement, la nutrition, l'activit\u00e9 physique, la r\u00e9duction du stress, l'am\u00e9lioration du sommeil et le soutien psychologique, ainsi que les m\u00e9dicaments pour la prise en charge de l'ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 et, le cas \u00e9ch\u00e9ant, les proc\u00e9dures m\u00e9taboliques ou bariatriques.<\/p>\n<p>Le nombre de m\u00e9dicaments approuv\u00e9s pour le traitement de l'ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 augmente rapidement, offrant aux cliniciens davantage d'outils aux m\u00e9canismes d'action distincts. Il est essentiel que les m\u00e9decins prescripteurs comprennent l'efficacit\u00e9 comparative de ces m\u00e9dicaments et la meilleure fa\u00e7on d'adapter le traitement aux besoins individuels des patients. \u00c9tant donn\u00e9 que ces m\u00e9dicaments diff\u00e8rent en termes d'efficacit\u00e9 et d'impact sur des complications sp\u00e9cifiques, un traitement personnalis\u00e9 est \u00e0 la fois possible et n\u00e9cessaire.<\/p>\n<p>Le nouvel algorithme de gestion des m\u00e9dicaments de l'EASO fournit aux cliniciens des conseils pratiques pour aligner les profils individuels des patients sur les effets prouv\u00e9s des m\u00e9dicaments disponibles. D\u00e9velopp\u00e9 \u00e0 partir d'une analyse rigoureuse d'essais contr\u00f4l\u00e9s randomis\u00e9s et fond\u00e9 sur le nouveau cadre de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence de l'EASO en mati\u00e8re d'ob\u00e9sit\u00e9, cet algorithme offre un outil simplifi\u00e9 et cliniquement pertinent pour am\u00e9liorer la prise en charge de l'ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 chez les adultes.<\/p>\n<p>Comme l'indique la publication, les donn\u00e9es utilis\u00e9es dans cet algorithme \u00e9taient disponibles au d\u00e9but de l'ann\u00e9e 2025.
