Ce nouveau score polyg\u00e9nique multi-ancestral (PGS) double largement la capacit\u00e9 pr\u00e9dictive pour l'IMC, expliquant 17,61 TP3T de la variation de l'IMC chez les participants d'ascendance europ\u00e9enne de la UK Biobank.<\/p>\n

Le PGS est associ\u00e9 \u00e0 l'IMC d\u00e8s le plus jeune \u00e2ge, avec des effets plus marqu\u00e9s \u00e0 l'adolescence. Il est particuli\u00e8rement utile pour pr\u00e9dire l'IMC \u00e0 l'\u00e2ge adulte. De plus, deux essais cliniques ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que les personnes ayant un PGS plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 perdaient plus de poids au cours de la premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e, mais pr\u00e9sentaient un risque plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 de reprendre du poids.
