Gunnar Mellgren

Professor Mellgren has a background in biochemistry, molecular biology and endocrinology. The main research interests are obesity, type 2 diabetes and endocrine related breast cancer. We have performed many translational studies focusing on genomics and transcriptomics with emphasis on adipose tissue dysfunction in obesity. In addition, I have a special interest in transcriptional regulation by nuclear hormone receptors and interacting coregulators with a special focus on endocrine related breast cancer.
