Professor Apostolos Hatzitolios is Professor of Internal Medicine and Director of First Propedeutic Department of Internal Medicine of AHEPA University Hospital since 2011, President of Internal Medicine Society of Northern Greece since 2009 and Board Member of Hellenic Stroke Organization since 2014. Since 2012 he is a member of the Strategic Committee Health Reform, Department of Health and Social Solidarity. He has long and extensive hospital experience of 30 years. From 1999 until September 2012, he was senior internist of the First Propedeutics Department of Internal Medicine AHEPA Hospital, supervising 2 sections on Internal Medicine Clinics and 5 Outpatient (Medicine, Hypertension, Lipids, Cardiovascular Risk Factors/Obesity and Smoking, and Stroke). He has been the author or editor of seven books and he is author in 132 publications in Greek Journals, and in 137 International Journals.
