For the third year, the EASO Policy Hub offers an Advocating on Obesity Workshop Series, scheduled across two weeks between Monday, 29 August and Friday, 9 September 2022.
Each 2-hour multi-stakeholder session are designed to cover the fundamentals of policy advocacy for beginners and draws on research and good practices from across Europe to explore how we can engage with policymakers and other key stakeholders to shift the dial on government policies at national and regional levels that can impact obesity health outcomes.
Each workshop provides an overview from experts and draws on inspiring examples. Participants will have a chance to work in groups to test policy advocacy tools and techniques, applying their own experience and skills to reflect collectively on new methods of engagement through interactive case studies.
Who should apply?
The workshop series is designed for a multi-stakeholder audience and will cover the fundamentals of policy advocacy for beginners drawing on research and good practices from across Europe to explore how we can engage with policymakers and other stakeholders to shift the dial on obesity policy.
