2019 EASO Policy Conference for European Obesity Day

2019 EASO Policy Conference for European Obesity Day

We are pleased to announce the 2019 EASO Policy Conference – “The Social and Economic Impact of Preventing and Treating Obesity,” which will take place on Thursday 16th May at the Renaissance Hotel in Brussels.

The event is being held in conjunction with European Obesity Day (EOD) 2019.  The Policy Conference provides a high visibility platform for healthcare providers and organisations, patients and political communities keen to raise awareness of the obesity in Europe.

Chaired by John Bowis, former UK Minister of Health, former MEP and MP, the 2019 conference follows the very successful EASO policy conferences in 2018, “Obesity Policy in Europe: the need for Education, Treatment and Care” and the 2017 policy conference, “Implementing national obesity policies and action plans in Europe”. We anticipate a large group of participants for the 2019 event, including EU and national policymakers, politicians, representatives from national representations and ministries, obesity specialists, healthcare professionals, and organisations representing the many diseases on which obesity impacts. Registration information and a provisional agenda are available via the #EOD2019 website
