Secretariat functions include:

Corporate Governance

  • Executive Committee management
  • General Council management
  • General corporate governance and legal advice (Trustee obligations etc.)
  • Strategic review and strategic plan development
  • Executive Committee succession planning

Financial Management

  • Preparation of financial reports and annual budgets
  • Production of management and end of year accounts
  • Issuing invoices, processing payments and receipts
  • Collection of membership dues
  • Bank reconciliation, inter account transfers
  • Investment, tax and VAT advice
  • Liaison with external auditors to produce audited accounts
  • Developing fundraising strategies

Membership Administration

  • Developing and maintaining the EASO membership database
  • Handling annual membership subscriptions
  • Everyday assistance to members
  • Response to general inquiries
  • Member benefit development
  • Developing member recruitment campaigns

Committee/Task Force Management

  • Convening meetings in accordance with the Association’s constitution and statutory requirements
  • Preparation of committee/Task Force agendas
  • Timely distribution of committee/Task Force papers
  • Proxy administration
  • Writing of minutes
  • Follow through of actions arising and drafting of related correspondence
  • Meeting logistics (participant travel/accommodation, venue coordination)
  • Development of Task Force web pages and communications

General Administration

  • Managing EASO Awards and Travel Grants
  • Managing EASO Best Poster Prize
  • Coordinating the Young Investigators United Group
  • EASO Publications Administration (Obesity Facts)
  • Administrative support to the Executive Committee
  • Coordination of SCOPE in Europe
  • Coordination of EASO’s EU Platform participation
  • Coordination of EU Project participation
  • Managing special interest groups
  • Coordinating relationships with other learned societies

  • EASO Brand development (linked to ECO)
  • Development and implementation of marketing strategies
  • Website design and maintenance
