Across society, weight-based stigmatisation is pervasive.  Weight bias in health care settings is also an unfortunately common reality, with recent research from the Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity at the University of Connecticut confirming that 54% of adults with obesity reporting being bullied in the workplace.
